Alton Albany Farm B&B

Alton Albany Farm is a comfortable and spacious riverside Farmhouse in a picturesque Ayrshire valley.  It's a short walk from the pretty conservation village of Barr and on the edges of the Galloway Forest.  The Stinchar River runs along the northern edge of the farmhouse grounds whilst the Albany Burn passes by the orchard. Alasdair will make sure there is a log fire burning away and always has a tray of tea or coffee with cakes ready and waiting for your arrival.

Families with children and dogs are always welcome.

Plenty of board games to enjoy by the fireside in the lounge. T

here is even an adjoining riverside field for stick throwing and ballgames when it's free of sheep.

The main B&B area is set in the Georgian side of the house with tall ceilings and plenty of ambient light. The walls are decorated with the garden photographs of Andrea Jones (Alasdair’s wife). The house is set in a footprint of 2 acres and the gardens are an enthusiastic ‘work in progress’!
